Has anyone ever used Accuta..

It is supposed to be a "lasting" treatment, but I've heard a few people say it does not work? Your thoughts?

I know a family member that had severe acne during his teen years. He tried everything and to be honest it just had to run its course. I'm not sure of your age but if you are under 20 years old I would not fool with Accutane because your acne will eventually go away. I know this is not what you want to hear. But, the side effects of Accutane are much worse. There are studies done on this medication and it can cause liver damage, affect the reproductive system, make your endurance lower, like if you work out or play sports and are active you may feel a difference that could affect your performance. It's an all around toxic medicine and if I was you I would not take it ever. Just follow a good regime of keeping your kind clean but don't overdo it either as that can make it worse. Again, the sad truth is that during teenage years acne will run its course and alot of these medications and remedies are all a waste of money and sometimes actually make your acne worse.
