I found ticks on my dog wha..

i found several ticks on my westie i removed then with tweeswers and put alchol on her skin after.... but there seems to have one under the skin what do i do and what will happen? the vets not open till monday

It should be fine until Monday, just keep it clean, as you have..These usually form something like a pimple, and are harmless, but if your dog begins acting feverish, or ill, then an ER would be necessary..

OKAY I DONT KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE but go to the pet store asap cause that can get infected and buy some flea and tick stuff and put it down your dogs back and you will only need one a month

I think you should panic.

If you can't wait till the Vet opens,try placing an ice cube on it for two minutes, then dig it out.

This is why you never use tweezers to remove ticks. The head can rip right off, which is usually buried in the skin.

You're best off with molasses or something that is thick and will suffocate the tick, making it lose it's grip and it can then be plucked off. If you're for a quicker method and not concerned with using chemicals, there are plenty you can buy over the counter that will take care of ticks. I generally wouldn't recommend something such as heat which is usually the best method for humans, unless you have someone who can pin the animal down secure enough to ensure it won't get burned.
