i asked a question kinda like this one. the answers i got were ok but they werent too clear. i know a lot of people use it. i do too. but i honestly dont think i need it cause im 13. but like, whats the reason you would even wear foundation anyway? like is it for uneven skin tones?

and if you're young like me, do you think i should just skip foundation and use a loose powder (to get rid of oil)

Whats the actual purpose of foundation?

Foundation is used to smooth skin's appearance and texture to give you a clean base for applying make-up. Kinda like how spackle is used by painters before painting a wall. ;p

If you are young, you most likely don't need heavy coverage like foundation. Instead try a tinted moisturizer. It's the lightest coverage and all you need at 13.

If all you want is oil control, try Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil. It's a loose powder. They have it in sheer, luminous, as well as a tinted formula. It helps control shine and gives you a matte look.

Whats the actual purpose of foundation?

It gives your skin a clean even base coat.

Whats the actual purpose of foundation?

Even skin and cover blemishes, it cloggs pores a bit though but its worth it!

Whats the actual purpose of foundation?

It blends away any imperfections or uneven skin tone.

Unless you have acne, you really do not need it. If I were you, I'd just use the powder.
